You may being wondering where to even start: How you can have your loved one--or yourself--your residence, business or pet-featured in a painting--or what type of painting you would like. Getting an idea of a specific style first helps narrow down the process. I have some examples of portrait pieces featured on this page of other clients' requests-or you can also look through my online portfolio and then choose a style that you like. I have a wide variety of mediums--from charcoal and watercolor, to oil painting and pencil sketches. How do I commission a painting? Knowing what you are interested in is a great way to start. Once you've decided what you would like--watercolor, oil, charcoal or pencil sketch--you can send me an email to get started! What do I need? A great photograph of your loved one--showing as much detail as possible to get the best likeness in a painting. Very dark or blurry images are more of a challenge--feel free to email me a copy of the photo for review. How do I pay for a commissioned painting? A small deposit before starting is required and can be paid simply through the secure site Paypal--the button is below!. There is a click on the right to help you get started. Depending on the price of the piece, it can be from between $25 -$75. The rest of the fee is spread out in two payments--one half-way through for your review--that's when last minute changes can be made and fine tuned to your liking. The last payment is at the end when the painting is complete and I have your final approval. After receiving your payment, I will then mail off your artwork in professional mailing safe from damage and ready to be framed. Matting is also an option, but depends on the medium and size selected for pricing. |
| A slide show of the painting being created is included in the price of the portrait piece--a wonderful treasure to share with friends and family! |
